Tooling and Molding

Amco Manufacturing uses state of the art techniques for creating and producing hard plastic battery cases. It all starts with a blueprint of the plastic. We can work with your existing blueprint, or if you don’t have one we can design and engineer one to your requirements.

 

For those customer who are looking to switch suppliers we can even duplicate the design of your existing battery to tolerances of 1/10,000 of an inch. We create the blueprint in our SolidWorks CAD system by designers who are familiar with the realities of injection molding dies and presses. At this point we use a 6 axis CNC cutting mill to turn the drawing into a mold.

 

After final texturing or polishing to your specifications we are ready to make hard plastic cases. Normally we use a mix of ABS and polycarbonate plastic, but flame retardant mixtures are also available.
